Prayer

pray.jpg

Prayer is fundamental to the life of the church and to our individual personal relationships with our Lord Jesus Christ. Our heavenly Father is delighted when we come before Him in prayer to bring our praise and our sorrows, to confess what we have done wrong, seek guidance and comfort.

There are so many ways in which we can do this. When we meet for our Sunday service we include a time for prayer, often inviting people to pray specifically for people, situations, the community, our nation and world issues. When we meet in Life Groups we often find it easier to pray in a more informal setting – and we can go deeper.

In the Encounter Centre we have a dedicated prayer room, complete with Bibles, study guides, contemplative literature, chairs and bean bags. It is accessible to anyone during the Encounter Centre opening times. You can also book your own slot in the prayer room - just use the Contact Us form.

On Friday mornings, we meet on zoom 81 82 83 8400 – from 08.30am to 09.15am – we have a Care and Share time. It’s a special time of quiet, reflection, short study, and for bringing our prayer requests before the Lord. Why not join us? We’d love to see you there.

We have an active prayer programme with weekly prayer emails and regular prayer events in the Encounter Centre. If you would like us to pray, please email us at enquiries@birchwood-church.org
