Our Team

Birchwood Community Church Leadership Team

We have three elders, Dass, Derek and Andy, who provide vision, strategic direction and spiritual oversight for the church and church life in the community.

One of the elders, Andy, also serves as Mission Director, helping us to connect with the people of Birchwood.

Four deacons, James, Dot, Allan and May are responsible for administrative and organisational matters, for example oversight for life groups, ministry matters, health and safety and finances.

We employ an office manager/graphic designer, May Inn, who keeps everything running smoothly in the Encounter Centre.

Through Warrington Youth for Christ we support a youth worker, Rachel, who works closely with our young people and with Birchwood Community High School.

We manage our church through the Church Leadership Team, comprising two of the elders and the four deacons.

As we are a charity we have a small team of trustees who provide governance.

Key ministry leaders include those responsible for teaching, welcome, hospitality and running life groups.
