Encounter Community Fridge

We operate a Community Fridge in the Encounter Centre as part of the Neighbourly initiative. Thanks to donations from retailers such as Aldi, and Asda we are able to offer local residents a good variety of fresh food (fruit, veg, pastries, bread etc) – all free of charge.

The aims are to promote healthy eating on a budget and help reduce food waste. Having a community fridge means that local people can make good use of fresh food which otherwise would be thrown away.

It is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10.00am to 2.00pm. You’re welcome to stay for a cuppa and a chat too! For the latest information about what’s on offer please check our Encounter Centre Facebook page
