Birchwood Community Church

Who we are

Starting as a small fellowship when the estates of Birchwood were first being built, we have become an established part of this small town. Parents and children still talk about the children's summer holiday clubs (the King's Club) that ran for a number of years, offering Christian teaching for youngsters in a fun atmosphere. More recently we have extended further out into the community. The opening of our new Encounter Centre in 2009 has started to develop our community links even further and Cafe Encounter, opened in June 2010, is starting to provide a hub that is helping to join various ministries together.

Birchwood Community Church represents the "home" for all our community activities and worship. It is also the name for our Sunday morning worship services. Our other services and activities have different names (such as Toddlerzone) but all sit within the wider family of the Birchwood Community Church.

We are affiliated to the Federation of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) and the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA).

We are a registered charity under the Charities Act (no. 1125230 under the name of Birchwood Evangelical Church). Our company number is 06501443.
