Sunday Services
Children's activities
We offer full creche facilities during Sunday morning services at Birchwood Community Church. Toddlers benefit from their very own teaching programme which they love. Many of our teenagers have fond memories of the time they spent in creche and many of them have gone on to become helpers in the creche.
For children aged from 5-11 years old we run Kids for Christ (known as KfC). This programme is conducted in two age groups and offers Bible teaching and activity sessions during the second part of the morning service.
Rock Solid is the programme that we run for children of high school age during the second part of the morning service. Based on discussion, study and (sometimes!) fast-paced activities Rock Solid aims to deepen and strengthen faith at what can be a very testing time for teenagers.
Older teenagers also have their own activities during the week at the 3:16 youth drop-in at the Encounter Centre. Access is by invitation only, so please contact us for more details. Regular special events for Rock Solid include day-trips (Alton Towers remains a firm favourite) and weekends away, for example in Wales and Shropshire.
