Encounter
foodbank
Birchwood Community Church has started foodbank in Warrington, working with national Christian charity the Trussell Trust. The initiative, which is has the support of other churches across Warrington, enables food to be supplied to people in Warrington who find themselves in urgent need.
"I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it for me."
We require donations of non-perishable foods from the following list, in order to keep the foodbank service running.
- Milk (UHT or powdered)
- Cereal
- Tinned soup
- Fruit juice (carton)
- Pasta sauces
- Baked beans
- Rice/Sponge pudding (tinned)
- Tomatoes (tinned)
- Pasta/Rice (1kg)
- Tinned vegetables
- Tea bags
- Instant mashed potato
- Tinned meat/fish
- Tinned fruit
- Sugar (500g)
- Biscuits or snack bars
Please bring your donations to the church on Sunday, or to Birchwood Resource Centre (weekdays except Wednesday, 9am - 1pm)
A huge thank you to all the schools who have given their harvest donations to foodbank this year.
