Birchwood carnival
For once the sun was shining - all day. This was the day of Birchwood Carnival and the organisers must have breathed a sigh of relief when the sun's rays spread rapidly across Birchwood Forest Park.
And for the first time the Carnival opened with an open air Christian worship service. Organised jointly by Birchwood Community Church and Thomas Risley Church the service was led by a combined worship band. It was a great experience to sing our hearts out in Forest Park, hear the gospel preached and be a part of Birchwood's very own community day.
