"Step by Step We're Moving Forward

posted on Posted by: Dass on 17 February 2009 | [ 0 comments ]

“Step by Step We’re Moving Forward” Many Christians will be familiar with this chorus by Doug Horley, but I expect not many will actually get to see it in action. It continues “Little by little we’re taking ground, every prayer a powerful weapon, strongholds come tumbling down and down…..” We’ll it seems very relevant to events taking place right in our midst at Birchwood Community Church. The exception is that God is clearing the ground ahead of us and pushing aside hurdles. All we seem to need to do is follow and try to keep in step. How blessed are we that we can see God in action. Today we received the news that Warrington Borough Council has given the Church planning permission to allow the new premises to be used as a place of worship. The conditions that were being attached have also all been removed. Now we will wait on the Lord to settle the rates issue and when that happens we can all put the first part of the above Doug Horley song into action: We will lift Jesus high, fly a banner across Birchwood, that all people would see the truth and know, that Jesus is the way to heaven. For those who think it can’t get any more exciting, well keep in step and be ready to be surprised! Dass
